The historic hotel combines 175 rooms and suites with restaurants, spa, golf and versatile event facilities. When you walk through the imposing red brick portal with its old sandstone sculptures, you enter a special place. The stables, the distillery, the granary, tall old trees on the lakeshore. It is a place full of atmosphere and spirit. It is a magical place.
The estate was a ruin when Michael Stober took it over. It had been classified as beyond restoration and was essentially just a plot full of stones and the rubbish that local residents had dumped in the empty buildings for years, even decades.
Today, the lakeside location combines historic buildings, regional organic cuisine and sustainable event concepts.
