When you walk through the imposing red brick portal with its old sandstone sculptures, you enter a special place. The stables, the distillery, the granary, tall old trees on the lakeshore. It is a place full of atmosphere and spirit. It is a magical place.

The estate was a ruin when Michael Stober took it over, classified as no longer restorable, actually just a plot of land full of stones - and the garbage that local residents had been dumping in the empty buildings for years or even decades.
